Shopify Store Rescue + E-Commerce SEO · San Diego

Your Shopify store is live. The sales are not.

If your store is up but the orders stopped, something under the hood is broken. Usually it is not the products and not the prices. It is a technical problem you cannot see from your own screen. I diagnose it, then I rebuild what is broken so people can find your store and actually buy.

The difference

Everything else I build is hand-coded, from the first line up. Shopify is the exception, the one platform I take over instead of building from scratch. But the problems that kill a Shopify store are not Shopify problems. Bad architecture, product pages nobody can find, a domain flagged as unsafe: these are the same problems I fix on every other site I build.

I am not a Shopify shop. I am the person who fixes what Shopify shops leave broken.

Diagnostics

Why doesn't my Shopify store show up on Google?

Usually because the store is built in a way search engines cannot read. Duplicate product URLs, thin collection pages, missing structured data, and a menu that buries your best products all tell Google there is nothing here worth ranking. The store looks fine to you and stays invisible in search. I map every one of these problems in an audit, then rebuild the architecture so your products can be found.

What do I do if my domain is blacklisted?

Move fast, because a blacklisted domain shows shoppers a not safe warning before your store even loads, and most of them leave. You find the source of the flag, move the domain onto clean infrastructure, and request removal from every database still carrying it. I did exactly this for Highroad Suspension. The red warnings were gone overnight and sales started recovering right away.

I wrote up the full rescue in how I cleared a blacklisted Shopify domain.

Why is my store getting traffic but no sales?

Because getting people to the store and getting them to buy are two different jobs. If products are hard to find, the on-site search does not work, pages load slowly, or the path to checkout is cluttered, visitors leave before they buy. Clearing the traffic problem is step one. What keeps customers is a store built so they can find what they need and check out without friction.

How long does a Shopify rescue take?

It depends entirely on what is broken, and you cannot know that before you look. Some fixes are fast. Highroad Suspension's domain problem took two months of research before it held, because the domain had been passed between three registrars and the bad records came along with it. Another store might need a week. The audit comes first, and you get a firm timeline before any rebuild starts.

Scope

What I fix

Every rescue starts the same way: an audit that finds what is actually broken before I touch anything. You get the audit, a plain-language plan of what is wrong and what I will do, and the rebuild.

  • Blacklist and reputation recoveryFind the source of the flag, move the domain onto clean infrastructure, and request removal at the origin.
  • Search visibilityIndexation, product and collection page SEO, and structured data so your products actually surface, in Google and in AI search.
  • Architecture and navigationReorganize the store so people and search engines can both find products.
  • On-site search and filteringSearch and filters that return the right products instead of nothing.
  • Speed and Core Web VitalsBecause a slow store quietly loses sales on every single visit.

Store work varies too much to price on a page, so I quote every project after the audit. The tiers for my other work are on the pricing page.

What you own vs what you rent

What do Shopify apps cost you every month?

Shopify runs on apps, and apps are a rental. Filtering, custom collections, advanced search, a fitment selector: each one is a monthly subscription that never ends. I build those features directly into the theme instead. You own the code, and there is nothing to pay every month to keep it.

For Highroad Suspension I hand-coded a Year Make Model fitment selector into the theme, driven by Nick's own fitment data. Equivalent Shopify fitment apps run from $50 a month, and the advanced ones start at $250 and up. Nick pays nothing for his.

Not a rescue?

A store you have, rebuilt right

You do not have to be in trouble to work with me. If your Shopify store runs but underperforms, or you are moving to Shopify from another platform, I take it over, keep your product catalog, replace the theme, and hand-code the custom work on top. Shopify handles the commerce plumbing. I build everything that makes the store actually work.
